Scouts and troop leaders can STILL attend the expo for FREE!
Troop registration is still open. Registration is not required for free admission, but letting us know you are coming helps us prepare patches, materials and supplies for participating Scouts.

Join us for the Pittsburgh Mega Reptile Expo’s 5th Anniversary Bash, where all Scouts and troop leaders wearing an official Scout uniform shirt or vest with troop identification receive FREE admission.
Scouts can enjoy an unforgettable weekend featuring amazing reptiles, a special Scout Adventure patch, prize drawings and a live educational presentation by TV personality Dusty “Wildman” Crum.
Troops do not have to register in advance to attend. However, we strongly encourage troop leaders to let us know they are coming so we can prepare enough patches and program materials.
✓ Free Admission: Scout uniform shirt or vest with troop identification required.
✓ One Free Guest: One sibling or friend, ages 5–15.
✓ Live Presentation: Dusty “Wildman” Crum at 1:30 PM each day.
✓ Custom Patch: Available to participating Scouts while supplies last.
✓ Prize Entry: Every attending Scout receives one free drawing entry.
Our 2026 Scout fundraiser gave participating troops their own Eventbrite ticket link and allowed them to earn $9 from every $18 fundraising ticket sold.
The special fundraising ticket included:
✓ 9:00 AM early admission
✓ Admission to the Pittsburgh Mega Reptile Expo
✓ Dusty “Wildman” Crum’s educational presentation
✓ Event tote bag
✓ $9 paid back to the participating troop
If our Scout Adventure Program is successful and our participating troops enjoy the experience, we plan to bring back a similar Scout fundraising opportunity for 2027.

Show Hours: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
Dusty Crum Presentation: 1:30 PM Saturday and Sunday
Free Admission Requirement: Official Scout uniform shirt or vest displaying troop identification
Advance Registration: Encouraged, but not required
Does our troop have to register? No. Registration simply helps us prepare for attendance, patches and supplies.
Can our troop still participate in the 2026 fundraiser? No. The 2026 fundraising program is now closed.
Can Scouts still attend for free? Yes. Qualifying Scouts and troop leaders may still attend free under the Scout Adventure Program.
Will there be another fundraiser? If the program is well received, we plan to offer a similar opportunity again in 2027.
Who approves badge requirements? Each troop’s leadership remains responsible for official badge approval.
